(51.4 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Queen Anne-style chest of drawers made of walnut with white pine secondary wood and cedar inside the drawers. Original, small, bat-wing brasses. The case top overhangs the sides and is made of two boards. The top is attached with dovetails reinforced by glue blocks at the back of the case. An ogee molding is nailed to the front and sides of the top.    The case sides are made of two boards each, with squared front edges. A double bead molding is nailed to the sides running from the case top to the base molding. The molding integrates with the double bead molding applied to the drawer dividers. The case back is made of five boards; the middle board is likely a replacement. The boards are butt-joined with the grain running horizontally. The back is nailed into a rabbet on the case sides and the top. There are glue blocks on the interior between the top and the back. The case bottom is a single board attached with dovetails to the case sides.    A shallow ogee base molding is nailed to the front and sides above the bracket feet. The bracket feet have a cyma curved edge and are attached with glue blocks. The back left foot is missing its brace. There is evidence of pit sawing on the back of the case.    The four rows of drawers are graduated in size. The top row has two smaller drawers separated by a vertical partition. Below are three full-width drawers. The drawer sides are full height with applied running strips. Drawer bottoms are a single board with the grain running from front to back. Drawer sides are connected to the back and front using dovetails. The drawer bottom is nailed to the underside of the drawer back. The drawers rest on runners nailed to the sides of the case. Three drawer dividers separate the lower drawers. There are no dust boards.
