The top frame is a box shape with three cross ribs. The head posts are rectangular with chamfered edges and tapered at the top, block at the terminals. The foot posts are cylindrical, smooth at the top with reel turning, and the shafts are stop-fluted and reeded with spool turnings at the base, attached to corner plinths, where the front and side rails are joined.
