Rectangular back with a curved profile, yoke-back crest rail, and curved shoulders. The rear edges of the crest rail, stiles, and splat are chamfered. There are pegged mortise and tenons attaching the crest rail and continuous back stiles and the stiles and the seat rails. The wide, squat vasiform splat is tenoned into the splat shoe, which is integral to the rear seat rail.  The compass-shaped seat has a reupholstered slip seat that could not be removed for examination. The front and side seat rails are tenoned and pegged into the top of the front legs. The side rails and rear seat rail have pegged mortise and tenon joints. There are corner blocks in all four corners that are attached with replaced screws, but it is unclear if they are the original corner blocks or early replacements. The front cabriole legs have knee blocks at each side and pad feet. The back stump legs have chamfered front-facing edges between the seat rails and side stretchers and at the raked-back feet. There are spindle-shaped medial and rear stretchers. The side stretchers are baluster turned.
