(82.6 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"A Chippendale-style slant-front desk constructed of mahogany. The lid has molding around the edges and a keyhole surround. The interior has a central prospect door with a shield-shaped keyhole surround and a concave blocked front topped with fan carving. The door is flanked by vertical document drawers with turned half columns with urn-and-flame finials. To each side are four pigeonholes with scrolled valances and straight dividers over a row of two drawers over a single drawer; the drawers have round metal knobs. The case has cock-bead molding around the drawer openings and cove-and-quarter-round molding around the bottom. The four graduated drawers have escutcheons and bail pulls.
