The front center knee is symmetrically carved with two opposing C scrolls surrounded by ruffled leaves above and a long acanthus pendant below. Leafy scrolls spring from the deep ogee brackets. The knees at the front corners are asymmetrically carved with a single diagonal C-scroll surrounded by a ruffled leafy arc above and long acanthus pendant below. C-scrolls and leafy scrolls spring from the brackets. The square rear legs are rounded, tapered and flared back below to square feet. Two concave medial braces are dovetailed to the front and rear seat rails and nailed in place.
