The cornice is outlined in quarter-round molding. Eleven small gilded balls follow the outline of the cornice and hang below its overhanging edges. The stiles have twisted molding along the front surfaces and are set within rectangular blocks at top and bottom. There is a rectangular reverse-painted glass panel at the top of the looking glass. The panel is painted with an eagle with spread wings within a foliate wreath, around which is a narrow, dark rectangular frame. The painting has a light colored background. A rail with twist molding separates the reverse-painted panel from the lower looking glass.
