The upholstered sofa back is straight and surmounted with a veneered crest rail with center rectangular tablet flanked by tapering scrolls. Light wood banding with semi-circular sand shading outlines the top edge of the lowermost rail within the crest rail. Sloping, upholstered vertical wings extend forward from either side of the back. The top and front edges of the wings are faced with mahogany. Short arms curve downward from the top of the facing strips to meet arm supports that are continuous with the front exterior legs. The seat has fixed upholstery. Light wood banding with semi-circular sand shading outlines the lower edge of the front and side seat rails, mirroring stringing on the crest rail. The sabre-shaped arm supports have ray-shaped dark wood inlay on the front surfaces. Blocks at the level of the seat rail appear to be veneered. Below the blocks, the front sabre legs are a mirror image of the arm supports. Two additional front legs are identical, with the addition of dart banding just below the seat rail. The front legs terminate in shaped feet.
