The top crest rail takes a serpentine-curve and at center is an anthemion with acanthus leaves, resembling a crown. The two lower slats match the crest rail. The center symbol is flanked by cut-outs. The ears are carved, and the stiles are grooved and continuous with the back legs. Below the seat, the rear legs are canted backward. The trapezoidal, fixed seat is upholstered over the frame with a patterned textile. The legs are braced by stretchers in a box-shape, with the front stretcher slightly recessed.  Inside the back of the front rail is inscribed with chalk: [I.
