The top is rectangular with a semi-elliptical curved front and a circular opening for basin to rest. The top is surmounted by a gallery with ogee and scroll-sawn sides and a front raised tablet with ears. The gallery is glued to the top and reinforced with a bracket screwed into the back. A panel of wood is glued to the gallery to create a shelf with a support panel screwed underneath it. The top has front veneered overhanging edges in a semi-elliptical profile to match the shape of the top. The back is glued to the frame, which itself is mortise-and-tenoned into the legs. There is no case bottom, but a drawer rests within the case. The drawer front is solid and has two turned wooden knobs. The drawer bottom is chamfered along the front and sides. The drawer sides are dovetailed to the front and back. The drawer bottom is nailed to the underside of the drawer back. The drawer is suspended on rails that appear to be original. The bottom front rail is mortise-and-tenoned into the sides. The two front and back legs are turned with convex and concave design. The legs are mortise-and-tenoned into the case. Between the top and the lower shelf, the front legs are cut into scrolls.
