The sideboard is a four-tiered shelving unit; a central case rests on the third tier. The top of the central case is attached with glue blocks.  Two registers of bevel molding are applied to the top front and side edges of the case. Between them is a carved register depicting a Green Man amid scrolling leaves; the register repeats at the bottom of the case. On either side of the case is a balconette shelf with turned banisters, backed by a carved lion. The shelves are supported by free-standing, stop-fluted columns on the third tier shelf, which is, in turn, supported by urns at left and right, and a carved griffin at center. The third tier shelf register is carved with scrolling leaves. Beneath the third tier shelf, there are three panels carved with floral and foliate motifs.  The central case of the sideboard has two side-by-side doors. The doors are paneled and constructed with through tenons. Applied cove molding frames carved, recessed panels; each panel is carved with the face of a Green Man. On the left and right sides of the door frame, as well as the divider at center, are carved dragons. Both doors have a keyhole, lined with raw wood with a metal pin release at the rear of the pocket. The doors are attached to the case with hidden hinges; there are visible brackets on the top and bottom edges of the door. The interior of the case has one fixed shelf above the case bottom and one divider, in the center. The shelf is attached to the interior of the case with glue blocks. The back of the case is assembled using panel-in-frame construction.  Registers of bevel and gadroon molding are attached underneath the front and side edges of the bottom board. The sideboard has three front paw feet and two rear block feet. Glue residue on the frame on either side of the rear feet suggests that there were once glue blocks, now missing.  Exterior surfaces of the sideboard are coated with chipping, flaking varnish. Circular saw marks are visible on the underside of the third tier shelf. There are rasp and chisel marks on the carved curves of the griffin. X-punch work fills the negative space within the relief carvings.
