The circular top is comprised of four boards joined with glue and veneered. The edges of the top are half-round molded. The top is joined to the circular frame with screws in pockets. The underside of the top has a wood rail that spans the diameter of the piece and extends into openings in the frame. The circular frame with half-round molding along the bottom edge is made of six brickwork layers of wood. The exterior surface of the frame is veneered. The central pedestal may be tenoned into the rail on underside of top. The pedestal is shaped with a round top that tapers into a long columnar stem over a compressed ball and straight columnar section into which the legs are joined. A drop finial extends down from the underside of the columnar section. Elaborately carved cabriole legs with additional scrolled carvings are joined to the pedestal with sliding dovetails. The legs terminate in scrolled feet under which castors are mounted.
