The top of the stand is composed of a quarter-circle shelf with a drawer unit underneath, surmounted by a gallery with scroll-sawn sides dovetailed at a 90 degree angle with a small decorative shelf nailed into corner. The gallery is nailed to top, which has a removable cover that is perhaps a later addition. The underside of the removable top has bracket support pieces screwed in and scribe marks drawn in a circle, approximating the size of the circular opening of the top shelf. The top of the basin has a large circular opening (7.5 in. in diameter) in the center with two smaller circular openings on either side (2.5 in. in diameter).  The side boards of the frame are nailed to the top and supported by glue blocks. The bevel-edged frame of the stand is nailed to the top shelf and is mortise-and-tenoned into legs. The frame contains a drawer with brass pulls and a horizontal veneered surface. The drawer fronts cover dovetails on the case face. The drawer bottom is a single board with split wood grain reinforced with glue blocks and dovetailed along the sides, back, and front. The bottom is nailed to the underside of the back and is let into grooves in the front. The drawer rests on rails glued to the opening. The stand terminates in two front sabre legs and a rear Marlborough leg mortise-and-tenoned to a triangular stretcher panel designed to look like a lower shelf. This bottom stretcher panel has been repaired. Additionally, repairs have been made to the top surface and glue blocks are missing on the underside.
