Surmounting the upper case is a molded broken-arch, bonnet-top pediment made with three urn-and-flame finials on plinths. The scrolls of the pediment terminate in gilded rosettes. In the tympanum is a carved shell below central finial. The frieze is carved and the architrave is molded. The scrolled panel doors have shaped escutcheons and keyholes and are flanked by fluted and carved pilasters. The lower case has a fall-front lid with an escutcheon and keyhole above a knobbed, pull-out shelf. In the lower case are graduated drawers with rounded fronts, each with escutcheons with bail pulls and keyholes, flanked by turned and fluted pilasters. Around the base is decorative molding. There is a carved shell drop on the skirt. The legs are cabriole with ball-and-claw feet."},{"label":"Date Digitized","value":"1/30/2019"},{"label":"Marks, Signatures, and Inscriptions","value":"Branded on the top edge of the cornice molding: [WC]."},{"label":"Materials","value":"Mahogany; White pine; Brass; Gilding"},{"label":"Style","value":["Chippendale"]},{"label":"Basis of Date","value":"Date attribution by DAPC (1991)."},{"label":"Date (EDTF)","value":"D:00 M:00 Y:1760 - D:00 M:00 Y:1780"},{"label":"Basis of Origin","value":"Place of origin determined by Brock Jobe (2015).
