The cornice of the looking glass has projecting corners and a recessed center. Small gilded balls follow the outline of the cornice and hang below its overhanging edges. A rectangular plinth projects from the center of the cornice. The front surface of the plinth is inlaid with a light wood oval surrounded by dark wood stringing. The top of the plinth has overhanging edges, below which hang small gilded balls. An eagle and spire finial is set on the center plinth. Conical plinths are set on top of the projecting corners of the cornice. A gilded chain or rope, from which small gilded balls are suspended, is held in the eagle?ÇÖs moth and drapes down to terminate at the top of each conical plinth. The lower edges of the cornice are outlined in beaded molding. The reeded or fluted stiles are each divided into upper and lower sections, with spool turning flanking each section. The stiles are set between capitals at top and rectangular blocks at bottom. There is a reverse-painted glass panel at the top of the looking glass. The panel has a scene of a garden with a gazebo. A horizontal rail with molded edges separates the reverse-painted panel from the lower looking glass. Below the looking glass, the lower rail has molding along the front surface."},{"label":"Date Digitized","value":"12/11/2018"},{"label":"Marks, Signatures, and Inscriptions","value":"Printed, paper label on backboard: [GEORGE DEAN / AGENT IN SALEM / For S.
