The crest rail is serpentine and molded, carved in a sheath-of-wheat motif, with rounded and foliate-carved ears. The chair back has an interlaced, pierced and scrolled splat with a quatrefoil base carved at the strap crossings, with scrolled and leafy beads along the front outside edges, and concave, bead-molded stiles. The trapezoidal seat frame has corner blocks nailed to the molded frame, holding the padded and upholstered slip seat in a floral fabric. The front cabriole legs have leaf-carved knee brackets and terminate in claw-and-ball feet; the back legs are stump. Turned stretchers brace the legs: two side and one medial forming an h-shape and one rear mounted higher than the others.
