The rectangular case top is composed of a single board with overhanging edges on all edges attached with screws and glue blocks. There are two lines of stringing in lighter wood around the front and side edges. The case back is made of two butt-jointed horizontal boards attached with glue blocks. There is no case bottom.    The case front has four graduated drawers. Each drawer has two brass plates and a keyhole surround. The drawer fronts have a horizontal veneer with one line of stringing around the edge and an applied cock bead molding. The drawer sides are full height. The drawer backs are planed. The drawer bottoms are each made of three boards with grain running front to back. The side edges of the drawer bottoms are chamfered. The drawer sides and back are dovetailed together, as are the sides and front. The drawer bottom is let into a groove in front and sides and nailed to the underside of the back. The drawers rest on their original runners, which are nailed and glued in place. The top front rail, three dividers, and bottom front rail are all mortise and tenoned in place. The facing of the dividers is solid wood with a laminated facing of mahogany to a pine back.    The case sides are made of one board with squared front edges. There is a large bail pull on each case side. The case sides are curved at the bottom with two lines of stringing along the edge. The case skirt has a center drop with cyma curved side with two lines of stringing in lighter wood along the lower edge. The four straight legs are notched at the bottom with integral spade feet. The legs are mortise and tenoned in place with a small attached notched carving on two front legs below the skirt. There are two lines of stringing in lighter wood around all four edges at the square top of the foot before it tapers into the spade shape."},{"label":"Date
