The rectangular chair back is contoured. The crest rail has arched shoulders and a flattened center. The crest rail has cyma-curved carving on the front surface. The front surfaces of the crest rail and rear stiles are rounded and outlined in bead molding. The chair has a rectangular stay rail. A contoured, rectangular, upholstered panel is mounted between the crest rail and stay rail; it covers the center section of the stay rail. The trapezoidal seat is upholstered over the rail. The baluster-turned front legs terminate in Spanish feet. The rear stump legs appear to be continuous with the stiles. There is a heavy double-ball-reel-and-spool-turned stretcher between the front legs.
