The upholstered back is arched along the crest rail. Sloping, upholstered vertical wings extend forward from either side of the back. The front vertical edges of the wings are faced with reeded mahogany. Short, reeded arms curve downward from the tops of the facing strips to meet arm supports that are continuous with the front exterior legs. The seat is upholstered over the rail. The arm supports are spindle-shaped with reeding and are flanked with ring and cup turnings. Rectangular corner posts are veneered with light-colored, figured wood. Below the posts, the legs are turned in the reverse pattern as the arm supports. Two additional front legs have the same design. All four front legs terminate in tapering, turned feet.
