Below the desk surface, the case has four graduated drawers. The uppermost drawer is flanked by lopers, each of which has a single knob. The uppermost drawer is shaped as a blockfront, the convex and concave surface of which transition into an oxbow profile on the lower drawers. The lid and drawers each have a shaped escutcheon; the drawers each have two bail pulls with block plates of the same design as the escutcheons. The molding along the side and front lower edges of the case follows the oxbow profile of the case.
