(41.9 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Queen Anne-style side chair made of maple with a slip seat.  The chair back is contoured with a yoke-shaped crest rail. The rear stiles have flat front surfaces, curved rear surfaces, and taper toward the crest rail. The chair has a vase-shaped, solid back splat. The chair has a trapezoidal slip seat. The lower edge of the front seat rail is shaped with double ogee curves and a curved center drop. The lower edges of the side seat rails are shaped in notched, flattened arches. The front cabriole legs terminate in trifid feet. The front legs have curved knee brackets that are nailed in place. The rear stump legs are shaped on the front-facing surfaces between the seat and the stretchers. Baluster-turned side stretchers and spindle-shaped medial and rear stretchers support the legs.
