The case top is composed of a single board with overhanging edges at the front and sides terminating in a glued half-round and cove molding. The top is attached with glue and screws to a frame with one horizontal and three vertical rails that sits below it. The horizontal rail is dovetailed to the case sides while the attachment method for the vertical rails is unclear. Both of the case sides are single boards with squared edges. Turned outward tapering columns with plain shafts stand at each front corner. The columns are decorated with rings at their plinths and carved with upward facing acanthus leaves at their capitals. Above the columns on either side of the top drawer is a rectangular recessed panel. The recessed section is curved at the top edge. The top drawer and case top, along with the bottom side rails, stand proud of the lower drawers to accommodate the columns. The case back is composed of five vertical boards attached with nails and meeting at butt joints. A central wide board runs behind the others with a beveled top edge. The case bottom is composed of a single board attached with glue blocks. The case has four turned feet, but the rear feet are smaller and simpler than the front feet. The feet end with wooden castors. The case has molding and veneer loss throughout.  The case has four graduated drawers faced with horizontal veneer. The drawers have wooden knobs and keyhole surrounds with locks. The right knob for the third drawer is missing. The drawer sides are full height and attached with dovetails at the front and back. The drawer bottoms are composed of single boards with grain running from side to side and chamfering at the front and sides. The drawer bottoms are let into a groove at the front and sides and nailed to the underside of the back. The drawers rest on runners, and the bottom drawer rests on the case bottom. The runners are nailed to the tops of rails running across the case sides and secured with glue blocks below. The top front rail is screwed to the underside of the case top and faced with veneer.
