The table is hinged across the middle of the top to allow it to fold flat. When the table is open, the turned legs of the table pivot on a brass pin to form a cross and are held in position with a brass latch. When closed, the turned legs sit parallel. In addition to the three hinges on the underside of the table top, there are hinges connecting each leg to the table top. The table top is chamfered and has rounded edges. The table has four columnar turned legs that are wider in the middle and flare into ball feet with both incised and raised rings. A turned stretcher with incised rings extends across the upper section of the legs just below the table top.
