The top is made of one fixed board that is structurally integral to the frame and attached with screws in pockets and glue blocks. The rectangular frame is constructed with mortise and tenon joints as well as a central brace that is attached with a half dovetail across the middle of the frame. The sides of the frame are veneered with mahogany and figured maple. The maple is sectioned into a central square of figured maple flanked by rectangular panels of figured maple. The mahogany veneer outlines these sections and is seen on the edge of the top of the table. The four identical legs are straight, reeded columns with decorative carving. Each leg has an acanthus at the top, followed by reeding, foliate carving, and an outward-projecting, high relief acanthus section at the bottom. The legs terminate in thin pads that are continuous with the legs. The back right leg has a large break.
