The rectangular tablet back is outlined with upholstery tacks over leather. The lower front and side edges of the upholstered seat are also outlined in upholstery tacks. The rear stiles are rectangular and continuous with the rear legs. The front legs are ball-and-block turned and terminate in ball feet. Between the rear legs and between the rear and front legs are rectangular stretchers. Between the front legs is a ball-turned stretcher.  According to DAPC staff, JJE and BMF (1972), the chair was given a natural finish in 1933 and new feet and new upholstery were added.
