The rear stiles have flat front surfaces and taper toward the crest rail. A solid, vase-shaped splat is set between the crest rail and the shoe. The chair has a compass-shaped slip seat. The lower edge of the front seat rail is cut in a flattened arch. The front cabriole legs have ogee-curved knee blocks and terminate in pad feet with thick discs. The rear stump legs appear to be continuous with the stiles.
