The chair has a yoke back crest rail with pointed shoulders. The chair has a framed trapezoidal seat with corner blocks attached with screws. The arms and arm supports are mortise and tenoned together. The top surfaces of the arms are smooth with molding beginning near the curved hand-hold and continuing down the front of the ogee-curved arm supports. The back edges of the arm supports are chamfered. The modern upholstery is finished with two rows of brass tacks around all four sides on top and bottom of seat rails. There are therm legs at the front and stump legs at the back. There are H stretchers with an additional stretcher between the two back legs. The stretchers have flat sawn edges with a quarter round molding on top. The middle stretcher is attached with a sliding dovetail and reinforced with two small nails. The Marlborough legs have carving on the front and outer sides. All four legs have modern metal sliders on the bottom.
