The front side of the bentwood back is decorated with convex molding. Seven spindles compose the back of the chair. Only the two spindles flanking the central spindle are tenoned through the top of the chair back. The saddle-shaped seat is composed of one board. A shallow cove outlines the base of the spindles on the seat. The underside of the seat is planed. The seat rests on four bamboo-turned legs. The front left leg has large split at the front. The stretchers, assembled in an H-shape, are bamboo-turned. The chair has been stripped of its original painted surface.
