A board secured to the unfolding top opens to give access to the keyboard of 68 keys and the keywell, which has a central, gilded design and decorative fretting. The top opens fully to reveal the strings. The entire case is veneered. The front corners, the keywell, the front rail, and apron feature veneered tablets framed in inlay. Beneath the keys are three side-hung drawers with ring pulls. The central drawer has two pulls and the flanking drawers have one pull each. The case sits on six legs that are bulb-and-ring-turned with reeded shafts and tapered terminals on castors.
