The cupid's bow crest rail is ogee-arch with pointed ears, carved to simulate backward curving continuous with the side stiles. The chair back has an owl's-eye pierced splat in a cove-molded shoe. The flared, compass seat frame has corner blocks nailed to the frame. The front legs are cabriole, with cove molded knee brackets terminating in small scrolls, on pad feet; the back legs are stump.
