The circular top has a lifting top door that opens to reveal a storage well for holding shaving implements. The rear one-third of the circular top is glued to the circular frame and fixed. Two butt hinges connect the fixed portion to the movable front portion which rests against the mirror pole when open. The outer edge of both the fixed and movable sections have integral roll molding. The circular frame is cut from one piece of wood and attached to a single bottom board with screws. Integral half-round molding outlines the circumference of the bottom board and overhangs the edge of the frame.  The mirror is supported by a turned, undecorated pole which is screwed into the fixed portion of the circular top from the underside. A small turned disc with decorative moldings is sandwiched between the bottom of the pole and the fixed top. The top of the pole terminates in an urn-shaped turning with an acorn finial. The mirror is mounted to the pole on a two-part hinged support. The longer section of the support terminates in a thick ring that is threaded onto the pole and secured with a threaded wooden screw. The shorter section of the support has a T-shaped extension that is screwed to the back of the mirror backing board. The two sections are joined with a knuckle hinge. The mirror glass is sandwiched between a circular backing board and a circular mirror frame that is turned with decorative moldings. The whole is secured with screws applied around the circumference of the back of the backing board.  The stand is supported by a spool-turned pedestal with a cylindrical base. Three C-curved legs with scroll-cut tops are attached to the base with sliding dovetails into the bottom and secured with metal brackets spanning the dovetails and base. The legs have slightly curved tops and flat-sawn sides and bottoms and terminate in scroll-cut feet."},{"label":"Date Digitized","value":"7/26/2018"},{"label":"Marks, Signatures, and
