The bent wood top is molded on the front face and is attached to the seat with through tenon joints. Nine spindles are attached to the top with through tenon joints. The spindles and legs are turned to imitate bamboo.    The sides of the seat are cut into cyma curves. There is evidence of dark green paint on the rear face of the seat and evidence of graining on the top of the seat. There is a severe split running through the seat between the joints of the left front and rear legs.    The stretchers are arranged in an H pattern. The rear legs are attached to the rockers with through pinned mortise and tenon joints. The tenons are exposed on the bottom. The front legs are also attached with a pinned mortise and tenon joint, but the tenon does not pass all the way through at the front. The joint of the rear left leg to the rocker has been repaired.    The underside of the seat is branded with the mark of [ S. H.
