The upper case has a broken scroll pediment with complex molding along the top edge of the pediment. The scrolls are shallow. A chalice-and-spire finial is mounted on a plinth that extends from the center front of the pediment. Twelve-pointed stars of alternating light and dark wood are inlaid on the case front beneath the molding of the pediment. The upper case has six graduated, full-width drawers behind two doors. Fluted columns flank the doors. The framed doors have raised panels. The top edges of the doors have a serpentine profile that flattens near the center of the case. Each door has a shaped keyhole surround; a lock is set in the right door. The uppermost drawer follows the profile of the case doors and has two small brass knobs. The remaining drawers each have two brass ring pulls. All of the drawer fronts are outlined with light wood stringing. A wide shelf slides out of the upper case from just below the doors. Two small brass knobs are mounted on the edge of the shelf.  The lower, blockfront case has four graduated drawers. Fluted columns flank the drawers. Each drawer has two bail pulls on solid bat-wing back plates and a central bat-wing shaped escutcheon. Bead molding outlines the drawer openings. The stepped bottom molding conforms to the contour of the blockfront.
