(55.9 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Federal-style desk-and-bookcase made of mahogany and satinwood primary wood and veneered.  Surmounting the upper case is a gallery with three ball-and-spike finials over inlaid and veneered corner blocks and a center tablet. The bookcase doors have gothic-arch glazing with molded mullions. Behind the doors are two layers of drawers. Below the doors are two layers of drawers, three per layer. The drawers each have an engraved knob and molded edges. The lower case has a hinged top and six drawers. At top are two side-by-side, both fitted with two engraved knobs flanking a keyhole, and below are two bigger drawers, also with engraved knobs flanking keyholes, flanked by tall drawers with one engraved knob each and a keyhole. On either side of the set of drawers in the lower case are crotch-veneered tablets. The drawers are molded, framed in dark wood banding, and crotch-veneered fronts. Along the base is light wood banding. The four legs are fluted at top with reel-turnings and the shafts are reeded, with cylindrical terminals.
