(69.9 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Rococo Revival, upholstered couch constructed of mahogany and an unidentified secondary wood for the frame. Upholstery covers the entirety of the wooden frame with only the legs exposed. The couch back is an exaggerated serpentine curve that begins at the left front corner, which curves upward and flattens out for an arm on the left side. The frame then curves upward dramatically before curving downward and flattening to the height of the left arm. Finally the frame curves downward ending the raised portion of the back, which terminates before the end of the couch. There is no right arm. Very little of the frame construction is visible, but it appears that one of the upper sections of the frame is screwed into the bottom frame. The seat of the couch has an oxbow curved front with a straight back. The seat extends from the left arm past the end of the back and terminates with a half-circle curved right side. The upholstery is lightly tufted with upholstered buttons at each of these sections and extends over the rail of the frame. The cabriole front legs have scrolled feet and attached castors. The back legs are baluster-turned.
