The asymmetrical couch back is mounted to the right side of the seat. The upper edge of the back has serpentine and cyma curves that take it from full height at the right to the level of the seat at the left. The crest is outlined in brass stringing. A brass rosette is attached to a scroll in the middle of the crest. The couch has an upholstered, serpentine headboard that terminates in a scroll. The front edge of the wing is faced in rosewood and outlined in brass stringing. A brass rosette is attached to the scroll at the upper terminus of the scroll. A foliate punched brass panel is mounted adjacent to the lower terminus of the scroll. The foot of the couch has a rounded, fixed cushion surmounting a rosewood frame with foliate punched brass panel and other brass mounts. The rectangular seat has a loose cushion. The vertical surfaces of the seat frame are outlined in brass stringing. An elaborate punched brass panel is mounted in the center of the long side of the seat frame.
