The tabletop consists of a fixed leaf and a hinged leaf. The front and side edges of the tabletop are curved, with squared notches above the front legs. The side and front edges of the tabletop leaves are inlaid with stringing and banding. The table apron follows the profile of the table top. At center of the apron is an oval of figured mahogany veneer within a vertically-grained tablet of maple veneer and a frame of string inlay. Flanking the central tablet are rectangular tablets of figured mahogany veneer framed with string inlay. The sides of the apron are each veneered with figured mahogany and framed with string inlay. The lower edge of the apron is outlined in additional rows of banding and checkered string inlay that continue across the fronts of the legs. Above and below the banding, the front surfaces of the legs are veneered with figured maple and outlined in checkered string inlay. All four therm legs terminate in therm feet.
