The circular tabletop is composed of two boards with two long, beveled braces screwed to the underside. The braces are attached to a fixed rectangular block with dowels, allowing the tabletop top to tilt into vertical and horizontal positions. A metal latch, likely a replacement, is screwed to the underside of the table and the block with a long scribe line centering the latch and tabletop. Three nail holes are visible surrounding the latch. The block serves as a large tenon into which the mortise of the baluster turned pedestal is affixed. The pedestal begins with a cup shape, followed by an urn shape, a downward facing half spindle, and molded rings. Below are three cabriole legs attached to the pedestal with sliding dovetails and reinforced with original metal brackets underneath. An ogee notch pattern is carved into the bottom edge of the pedestal and continues onto the legs.
