The top of the chest of drawers overhangs the case slightly and is molded around the edges. The front edge has an oxbow profile; the side edges have a shallow ogee curve. The oxbow profile continues through the case. The case holds four graduated drawers, the fronts of which are outlined in beading. Each drawer front has two bail pulls on solid bat-wing back plates and a central bat-wing escutcheon with keyhole. The lower edge of the case is outlined in stepped molding. The case sits on four short cabriole legs with claw-and-ball feet.  According to Loring (1964), while the brasses are old, they may not be original.
