The cornice consists of a rounded keystone at the center flanked by a serpentine hood. Complex molding outlines the front edges of the cornice. Two flame-turned finials mounted to plinths are fixed at the front corners. The case has two mirrored doors, the top edges of which follow the profile of the cornice. Both doors have shaped escutcheons with keyholes; a lock is accessed through the right door. The doors open to reveal six drawers, each with two bail pulls and one with a keyhole. A full-width shelf slides out of the upper case from just below the doors. Two small brass knobs are mounted on the edge of the shelf. Decorative molding along the top of the lower case separates the two cases. The lower, blockfront case has four graduated drawers with beaded edges. Each drawer has two bail pulls on solid bat-wing back plates and a central bat-wing shaped escutcheon. The stepped bottom molding conforms to the contour of the blockfront. A shaped drop pendant is centrally located on the bottom edge. The case rests on bracket feet."},{"label":"Date Digitized","value":"10/17/2018"},{"label":"Marks, Signatures, and Inscriptions","value":"Signed in pencil between the top and bottom sections: [Davis]."},{"label":"Basis of Materials","value":"Mahogany identified as primary wood and red cedar as secondary according to Lovell (1972)."},{"label":"Materials","value":"Mahogany; Red cedar; Unidentified metal"},{"label":"Style","value":["Queen Anne"]},{"label":"Basis of Date","value":"Date range of 1730-1765 provided by Bernard & S.
