The table top consists of a fixed leaf and a mobile leaf. Along the edge of the mobile leaf is dashed, alternating light and dark wood inlay. Below the static leaf is decorative molding. The case is veneered. Each side has stringing in a rectangular outline of lightwood inlay. Centered on the front of the case is an inlaid star of alternating light and dark wood. On each of the slightly raised corners is sunburst marquetry. Along the bottom of the case is additional decorative molding. In the spandrels are fretted brackets.
