The upper case has a flat pediment with overhanging molding over a cornice of geometric fretwork carving applied over wood. The case has a protruding center section flanked by two narrower, recessed sections. The center section has two frame-paneled glass doors with wood muntins applied in a geometric pattern. The flanking sections each have one door of the same design and size as the center doors. Each door has a pierced brass escutcheon. Each section has three interior shelves that appear to be adjustable. The lower case has a protruding center section flanked by two narrower, recessed sections. The center section has five graduated drawers, the uppermost of which is a secretary drawer in which the drawer front pivots open to form a flat surface on which to write. The secretary drawer has a central prospect unit consisting of a solid prospect door flanked by two document drawers with applied half-turned spindles. To either side of the prospect unit is a row of four pigeonholes surmounting a row of two side-by-side drawers and a single wide drawer. Each interior drawer has a single brass knob. The fall lid rests on lopers that flank the drawer immediately below the secretary drawer; each loper has a single brass knob. The flanking sections of the lower case each have six graduated drawers. The fall lid and center section drawers each have a shaped brass escutcheon and two bail pulls with back plates that match the escutcheons. The drawers in the flanking sections each have a single bail pull of the same design. The lower case has a plain skirt that follows the blocking of the lower case and rests directly on the floor."},{"label":"Date Digitized","value":"7/20/2018"},{"label":"Materials","value":"Mahogany"},{"label":"Style","value":["Chippendale"]},{"label":"Basis of Date","value":"Dated by John S.
