The upper case has a broken scroll pediment with complex molding along the top edge of the pediment. Gilded flame and urn finials are mounted on top of rectangular plinths at the front corners and on a plinth that extends from the center front of the pediment. Below the cornice is a central tall drawer with a central arched recess; shorter drawers flank the central drawer. The lower edges of the three drawer fronts are in alignment. Below are four full width, graduated drawers.  Decorative molding outlines the front and sides of the lower case top. The lower case has a two short side-by-side drawers over three side-by-side drawers. The center lower drawer has a central arched recess. The skirt of the lower case is shaped in three compressed arches. Four cabriole legs support the lower case. The legs terminate in pad feet.  The drawers of the upper and lower cases are treated similarly. The drawer fronts stand proud of the case front. The short, narrow drawer fronts have a central rectangular field of figured mahogany veneer. Banding outlines the drawer fronts, each of which has a single bail pull on an engraved solid bat-wing back plate. The recesses on the drawer fronts are painted with faux shell and vine decoration and each fitted with a single brass knob. The full-width drawers have fields of bookmatched figured mahogany veneer and banding applied to give the illusion of two side-by-side drawers.
