(49.5 cm)"},{"label":"Description","value":"Queen Anne side chair with a solid, vase-shaped splat back, cabriole front legs, and pad feet. The back has a yoke-shaped crest rail. The back is curved for comfort and the rear stiles are continuous with the back legs. The trapezoidal slip seat with was reupholstered in 1992 with a needlepoint cover in carnation design-bargello-Irish stitch made by Golden Ball Tavern volunteer Mary Anderson. The front seat rail has serpentine carving. The upper portions of the two cabriole front legs are decorated with C-scroll carving. The legs are reinforced with turned baluster stretchers in the Boston style with medial and rear stretchers.    The chair has been sun bleached on the crest rail and back of the splat.
