The top consists of one fixed and one hinged board, both of which overhang the apron. Unfolded, the top forms a square with notched, curved corners. The edges of the table top are inlaid with two rows of light wood stringing surrounding a wide band of striped veneer, possibly rosewood. The apron follows the profile of the table top and is visually divided by the legs, which continue to abut the table top and stand proud of the apron. Each section of the apron is veneered with figured mahogany. The central section of the apron has a central, protruding rectangular tablet with a central oval surrounded by light wood stringing. Veneer with horizontal and vertical grain surrounds the oval, with the pieces meeting in mitered corners. Flanking the central tablet, and on each other section of the apron, is figured veneer with light wood stringing outlining the sections; the stringing is inverted at the corners. A line of light wood stringing and a band of striped veneer, possibly rosewood, follows the lower edge of the apron. The front legs have ovals of veneer surrounded by light wood stringing at the height of the apron. Below, in line with the lower edge of the apron, is a band of striped veneer, possibly rosewood, surrounded by light wood stringing. Below the apron, the front legs are outlined with light wood stringing that arches below the banding.
