The turned pole is supported by three exaggerated cabriole legs with snake feet. The  legs are attached to the pole with sliding dovetails. The pole has cup and ring turnings and an urn shape near the base. The upper two-thirds of the pole is a thin, smooth-turned cylinder topped with an integral acorn finial.  The square frame around the screen is backed with green wool baize. Two brass braces encircle the pole and attach to the frame backing. The lower brace has a knob on the front that allows the brace to be loosened or tightened and the screen to be adjusted up or down the pole. The frame contains a needlework picture depicting a pastoral scene with sheep, trees, a cottage and a young man with an instrument wooing a young woman."},{"label":"Date
