Elongated oval tablet crest rail followed by one slat. Mahogany veneer in relief on the tablet and slat. Rectangular back is curved for comfort. Rear stiles are joined to the seat rail and continuous with the back legs. Four sabre legs attach to the seat rail with mortise and tenon joints. Trapezoidal seat, likely constructed with mortise and tenon joints. Replaced upholstery and upholstery foundations. The seat is secured and it is difficult to determine seat construction with certainty. The joint at the back right seat rail is separating where it connects to the rear stiles. This joint appears to be a mortise and tenon joint. Seat rails are screwed to the piece and may have been replaced.
