The crest on the comb is s-curved and terminates in volutes. Five spindles are tenoned through the bentwood continuous bow. Four additional spindles flank the comb spindles. Two arm posts and an arm support brace the arm rest. The arm terminals are rounded. The shovel-shaped seat has a saddled contour with a canted front edge. The bamboo turned legs are splayed, braced by H-stretchers, and terminate in bends.  [T.C. HAYWARD] branded under seat.
