The table cannot be fully opened due to instability in the frame and missing leaves. When fully collapsed, the tabletop is circular, and composed of four boards that separate at the center and terminate in an integral half-round molding. The top is attached to the table frame with screws in pockets. The exterior face of the table frame is veneered, and a nailed bead molding is attached to the bottom edge. The frame is split into two pieces, which separate at the center. One half of the frame sags downward and is detaching from the top, a structural collapse that continues down the corresponding half of the pedestal. Hinges are visible below the tabletop. When the table is collapsed, the two pedestal halves form a subtly fluted hollow column, a shell inside of which additional movable legs are fitted. The pedestal is affixed to the tabletop with four boards with beveled edges surrounding it. The boards are attached to the tabletop with screws. Two of the boards have brass latches and two are mortise and tenoned to each side of the pedestal. A decorative ring surrounds the bottom of the pedestal. Four curved X-form legs protrude from the pedestal, two from either half. Two additional legs are visible within the gap between the pedestal halves, although more may be inside of the pedestal. These legs are turned cylinders with incised rings at the bottoms. Their attachment to the table is unclear. The table has approximately eight feet. Four curved feet with scrolled carvings projecting from their top edges are attached below the X-form legs and terminate with brass castors. The legs inside of the pedestal also have castors.
