The entire case is richly veneered. The top of the upper case features a pediment of four plinths mounted on each corner supporting side boards and a central, scrolled cornice bisected with a rectangular plinth. The pediment is trimmed along the bottom and a strip of applied molding trims the top of the frame of the upper case doors. The doors have panels of glass and keyholes. Inside the doors are two shelves.  The top of the lower case holds a hinged writing surface. The lower case holds three drawers. Lopers, each with a single knob, flank the top drawer. Each drawer has two knobs and a central keyhole. The legs are baluster-turned with ball feet.  The interior of the top case has been replaced with one full width shelf.
