The crest rail is serpentine and molded, with a central, heart-shaped cutout embellished by foliate carvings, with rounded and foliate-carved ears. The chair back has an interlaced, pierced and scrolled splat with a pointed quatrefoil base carved at the strap crossings, with scrolled and leafy designs, fixed to a molded shoe. The front legs are Marlborough; the back legs are stump.
